Torque and Towing
When you want a spectacular pickup for the Rogers and Anoka roads, there are plenty of factors to weigh: trim levels, upgrades, packages, and more. But one of the most important decisions to make is between diesel vs. gas trucks. While there isn’t one right answer for all drivers, we’ve created a pros and cons list to help you find the very best option for your needs:
There are many differences between diesel vs. gas trucks, but also some similarities. For example, both utilize internal combustion to create power. However, the process is different. Diesel truck engines compress air at a ratio between 15:1 and 25:1, while gas-powered trucks compress air at a ratio around 10:1. This means that a diesel engine can self-ignite more easily, and they usually don’t need spark plugs to do so. Additionally, diesel engines have less variation in temperature than traditional gas-powered engines – which can affect fuel economy.
